Generate tracks by computer simulation

This tool generates simple tracks that feature a similar stop-and-go motion as we typically find in lymphocytes. The simulation model has been developed by Beauchemin, Dixit and Perelson and the basis for this implementation is described in detail in the article Analytical results on the Beauchemin model of lymphocyte migration.

In this simulation, cells move in a cube of 0.5mm edge length but they are only tracked inside a smaller region whose depth can be controlled using the parameter "image region Z". This is important to reproduce the finite-region biases of two-photon imaging experiments.
